Southeast Asia Hospital Receives First Disney Mobile Movie Theatre

Southeast Asia received its first ever Disney Imagineer-designed Mobile Movie Theatre at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore. The movie theatre’s arrival was feted with a themed party for patients and their families – movie tickets and popcorn included!

Just in time for World Wish Day, Disney collaborated with Make-A-Wish Singapore and Children’s Cancer Foundation Singapore to host a very special screening of the award-winning animated feature Encanto for children receiving care from the hospital’s oncology unit and their caregivers.

Along with plenty of popcorn, the event included giveaways of Encanto-themed products from shopDisney and a photo wall blooming with flowers inspired by Isabela Madrigal’s magical powers.

Disney Mobile Movie Theaters are inspired by the cinema on Main Street, USA, at Disneyland Resort and offer patients and their families a place to gather, create memories, and watch Disney movies via complimentary Disney+ access.

The gift and event is part of Disney’s global commitment of $100 million to help reimagine the patient experience in children’s hospitals and deliver joy and comfort to children and families when they need it most. To learn more, visit joy.disney.com.
