Stitch Joins the Disney Holiday Magic Tour
This holiday season, Disney is inspiring fans and families everywhere to “Make Someone’s Holiday Magic,” celebrating the joy of giving and the powerful connection people share with Disney during this special time of year. The holiday campaign kicked off on November 10 with the launch of “Best Christmas Ever: A Disney Short” and the celebration continues as Stitch joins the Disney Holiday Magic Tour across the country and around the world, spreading cheer through community events, donations, and moments of joy that make the season brighter for children and families everywhere. Follow along on his journey below!
Stitch’s Mission to the Nice List
At Disneyland Resort, Stitch learned from Santa that he’s on the naughty list! That just won’t do. So… he decides he must get back on the nice list, and how better than to join Disney VoluntEARS on the Disney Holiday Magic Tour! First stop…Disneyland! Stitch joined local U.S. Marines, Disney VoluntEARS and Disney Ambassador Jada to gather toys for kids and families with the local Toys for Tots chapter!
Stitch Brings Comfort and Joy to the Windy City
Stitch made his way to Chicago to visit kids and families at Lurie Children’s Hospital. During his visit, he couldn’t help but cause a bit of mischief by leaving behind “Stitch Was Here” notes for kids to find, but he also brought holiday joy with deliveries of toys, holiday-themed Hawaiian leis to match his own and a special screening of Lilo and Stitch!
Stitch Brings Holiday Magic to Capitol Hill
During the Disney Holiday Magic Tour, Stitch found himself passing through Washington D.C. and took the chance to visit local families and Marines at a Marine Toys for Tots collection event! Along with Disney VoluntEARS, he gathered hundreds of toys to donate to families at the local D.C. Toys for Tots chapter.
Stitch Brings Holiday Cheer to Children in Shanghai
Stitch made a few very special stops in Shanghai starting at the Disney Fun House at the Zhangjiang Campus of the Shanghai Children’s Medical Center. He then made surprise appearances at two campuses of the Pudong Special Needs school, where Disney VoluntEARS delivered gifts (and happiness) ahead of the holiday season.
Stitch Brings Holiday Cheer to Nassau, The Bahamas
While sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line in The Bahamas, Stitch made a surprise visit to Woodcock Primary School to spread joy and holiday cheer to 136 children! Crew from the Disney Fantasy distributed gifts while Stitch had some holiday fun with the kids.
Stitch Visits South Eleuthera – Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
Next, Stitch made his way to Disney’s island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, for the very first time to surprise 70 students from Deep Creek Primary School during their holiday visit. In addition to Stitch surprising them, crew from the Disney Fantasy distributed gifts and the kids joined in a Junkanoo Rush celebration!
Stitch Surprises 100 Kids at Endeavor Elementary School
Next on the Disney Holiday Magic Tour, Stitch joined Disney Cruise Line crew from the Disney Fantasy to surprise 100 children at Endeavor Elementary School in Brevard County, Florida! The surprise visit included meet-and-greets, silly moments with Stitch, and toys for the children.
A Magical Toy Delivery in Tokyo for Make-A-Wish Japan
Stitch surprised Tokyo Disney Resort cast members and leaders collecting toys for Make-A-Wish Japan. As the cast members were busy collecting toys and gifts, something magical happened at the Christmas tree at Tokyo Disneyland’s World Bazaar. Collected toys will be delivered to the Japan chapter of the non-profit organization Make-A-Wish International to fulfill children’s wishes for holiday presents.
Stitch’s Stop at Pholosong Regional Hospital, South Africa
As part of the Disney Holiday Magic Tour, Stitch made a heartwarming visit to the Dream Room at Pholosong Regional Hospital in Tsakani, South Africa. He spent time with children and their loved ones, bringing festive cheer through playful moments, warm interactions and a touch of his signature mischief. His visit filled the hospital with joy and laughter, creating a memorable holiday moment for everyone who crossed his path.
Disney Africa has a long-term partnership with local dream-granting organization Reach For A Dream (RFAD), who’s vision is to alleviate the strain a critical illness places on children and their families by making their dreams come true, providing them with a temporary escape and a much-needed distraction from often painful medical treatments. In 2024, Disney Africa and RFAD collaborated to create a Disney-themed Dream Room at Pholosong Regional Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa. Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters and worlds have been incorporated throughout the space, through unique mural artwork, therapy aides and in the outdoor space, creating opportunities for patients and their families to experience Moments that Matter when they need it the most.
Stitch Spreads Holiday Cheer on Ice in Minnesota
As part of Disney’s Holiday Magic Tour, the celebration reached St. Paul, MN with an unforgettable moment during the Disney On Ice pre-show on December 5. Guests were delighted by a surprise appearance from Stitch — on ice skates no less, bringing extra holiday cheer to the evening. Local Toys for Tots coordinators and their families were invited to join the audience, highlighting Disney’s commitment to giving back during this season. Before the show, Disney On Ice encouraged fans to participate in the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, reinforcing the spirit of generosity that defines Disney’s holiday campaign.
Stitch Crashes the Set of SEC Nation
After traveling near and far in an attempt to get off the naughty list, Stitch crashed the set of SEC Nation in Atlanta for the SEC Championship game. Stitch worked with Laura Rutledge, Tim Tebow and the local Toys for Tots Marines to clean up some scattered toys and get them to the warehouse for distribution to kids throughout Atlanta!
Stitch Surprised Kids at Local Hospitals with Gifts and Smiles
Stitch surprised 500 Disney voluntEARS and families who gathered to wrap more than 8,000 gifts that were sent to more than 60 hospitals across France, Spain and Belgium for kids in hospitals during the holiday season. He then joined Disney VoluntEARS at some of these hospitals to help distribute gifts to young patients.
Stitch Crashes a Christmas Gift Packing in Hong Kong
Disney VoluntEARS were busy decorating and packing gifts for children until suddenly Stitch joined in on the fun. He brought cheer and a little mischief, making the event even more magical.
Stitch Welcomes Community Members to Zootopia 2 Screening
Local kids and families were invited to an exclusive screening of Zootopia 2 at the iconic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Adding to the excitement, Stitch surprised guests by taking on the role of honorary ticket taker, greeting families as they arrived. The event brought together kids and families from dozens of local nonprofit organizations, offering a joyful holiday outing filled with magic and community spirit. Guests enjoyed the full theatrical experience, complete with concessions, photo opportunities, and special giveaways, underscoring Disney’s commitment to creating unforgettable moments for our community during the most wonderful time of the year.
Stitch Joined Disney VoluntEARS at Altadena’s Christmas Tree Lane
As part of the company’s ongoing $15 million commitment to help LA recover from the Palisades and Eaton fires, Disney supported one of Altadena’s most cherished traditions by bringing a Disney VoluntEARS Village to Christmas Tree Lane’s Lighting Ceremony and Winter Festival. Stitch lit up Christmas Tree Lane with festive flair and shared the joy by donating his favorite toys to the Altadena Sheriff Department’s toy drive. He greeted families as they walked through the Disney VoluntEARS Village and participated in various volunteer activities benefiting the Altadena community.
Stitch Surprised Imagineers at Walt Disney Imagineering HQ
Stitch arrived at Walt Disney Imagineering to deliver surprise holidays treats to Imagineers – the ones who make magic year-round. During his visit, Stitch couldn’t contain his curiosity and even tried to become an Imagineer.
Stitch Visits a Children’s Hospital residence in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Disney VoluntEARS gathered at the Buenos Aires office to wrap Stitch-themed gifts before delivering them to some very special children at Casa Garrahan, a hospital residence that provides accommodation to kids and youth undergoing outpatient medical treatment or awaiting complex diagnoses, together with their caregivers. The visit included a playful musical activity that ended with a surprise appearance by Stitch — who couldn’t resist making a bit of mischief before remembering he was on a mission to get off Santa’s naughty list by bringing toys and smiles to the kids. Stitch and the volunteers then handed out the gifts, creating truly unforgettable moments for the families.
Stitch Joins the Cast of 'Aladdin' on Broadway
As part of the Holiday Magic Tour, Stitch brought an extra dose of surprise to Broadway audiences by making his debut at the conclusion of Aladdin. After the final curtain call, Stitch popped up in one of the balcony boxes before joining Genie on stage for a special holiday campaign call to action, delighting fans and spreading seasonal cheer in true Disney style.
Stitch Brought Disney Holiday Magic to Live Shows in NYC
While in NYC, Stitch brought a bit of Disney holiday magic to the Disney offices at 7 Hudson Square. He joined ABC’s The View and ESPN’s First Take LIVE on-air, as well as visiting his friends at Tamron Hall and Live with Kelly & Mark, spreading cheer and encouraging participation in the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive to help spread more holiday magic! It was quite the busy day full of giggles, mischief and the spirit of giving!
Stitch crashes London VoluntEARS Festive Packing Event with MediCinema
Stitch continued his mission to get off the naughty list by crashing a festive Disney VoluntEARS event in London, held in partnership with MediCinema. Over 360 VoluntEARS gathered to pack 1,500 gift bags for children’s hospitals across the UK, and Stitch couldn’t resist jumping in to help.
With his trademark mischief and a whole lot of heart, Stitch brought laughter, energy, and holiday cheer to the packing event, ensuring every gift was filled with joy. His unexpected appearance made the event even more magical, all while spreading the spirit of giving this holiday season.
A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever
For the second year in a row, Disney and Taika Waititi have collaborated on a heartwarming original story of friendship for the holidays in A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever. At the center of the story is a little girl and her doodle who comes to life on Christmas Day after Santa mistakes the drawing for a holiday wish. The short follows the charming story of the friendship between the girl and the animated product of her imagination during this magical season in a uniquely Disney way.
