Pixar and Make-A-Wish® Team Up on Two Special Wishes

A child’s heartfelt wish reflects the creativity of their imagination, and Pixar recently teamed up with Make-A-Wish to grant two uniquely special wishes at their studio.

From Raelyn serving up some delicious treats, to Addie achieving her lifelong dream of being a voice actor, here’s a glimpse into these perfectly Pixar wish stories:

Raelyn’s Wish to be a Pastry Chef for a Day At Pixar

An episode of Inside Pixar featuring Pixar’s pastry chef gave six-year-old Raelyn reassurance and comfort during her leukemia treatments, and inspired her wish to become a pastry chef.

“After spending most of the last eighteen months either in the hospital or in some level of isolation, it was just what we all needed…it was truly magic,” said Raelyn’s parents John and Thelma about Raelyn’s wish day.

Addie’s Wish to Be a Voice Actor at Pixar

Addie has always dreamed of becoming a voice actor and using her skills to represent what it’s like to be a part of the disability community.

In reflecting on her wish day, Addie shared, “My wish day at Pixar gave me the confidence to know that I could be a voice actor someday. I plan to pursue voice-over acting as a career and this experience has been life-changing.”

For more than 40 years, Disney and Make-A-Wish have worked together to deliver joy when it’s needed most to wish kids and their families. The entire Disney family works with Make-A-Wish to grant life-changing wishes, including theme park and resort vacations, cruises, shopping sprees, studio visits, talent meet-and-greets, sports-themed experiences, and more.

This year, we’re celebrating 150,000 wishes granted together around the world as well as the incredible wish kids, including Raelyn and Addie, who remind us that wishes do come true.
