Our Investment in Communities
We are committed to directing more than 50% of our annual charitable giving to programs serving underrepresented communities and we intend to spend at least $1 billion annually with diverse suppliers by 2024.
Advancing Authentic Representation in Media & Entertainment
We are committed to reimagining tomorrow by empowering organizations that reflect the lives and experiences of the communities we serve across creative content, news, experiences, and products. We also support efforts to track industry progress toward increased representation in media and entertainment.
Gold House
Gold House’s work in media and entertainment centers on reflecting the lives and experiences of the Asian & Pacific Islander (API) community on and off screen to ensure positive and affirming representation. A longstanding collaborator, Disney worked with Gold House by underwriting and contributing to the Gold Storybook, an industry guide that advises on best practices for authentic API representation in media throughout every stage of the production process, from development to distribution.
National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP)
Disney is a longstanding sponsor of NALIP’s annual Media Summit and Latino Media Fest, two impactful initiatives that bring together Latino creatives to showcase their talents and advance their careers. NALIP also serves as a consulting partner for Disney’s Imaginar Producers Residency with Film Independent, a signature program designed to advance the careers of independent Latino producers.
IllumiNative
IllumiNative is an organization dedicated to increasing the visibility of Native people. Disney’s work with IllumiNative supports the creation of “The Time is Now: The Power of Native Representation in Entertainment,” an industry guide created by IllumiNative that serves as a resource to develop accurate stories and characters by and about Native people in television, film, and other forms of media.
GLAAD
GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQIA+ media advocacy organization, works to ensure authentic fair, accurate, and inclusive LGBTQIA+ representation and reach 100% acceptance. Disney’s support of GLAAD has spanned many years across a variety of programs, including the annual GLAAD Media Awards and the GLAAD Media Institute. This collaboration supports inclusive and accurate LGBTQIA+ representation in our media and entertainment, as well as PSAs, campaigns, industry events, and workforce development initiatives.

UnidosUS
UnidosUS is the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization dedicated to promoting the economic, political, and social advancement of all Latinos. Disney is honored to sponsor the UnidosUS Annual Conference, a gathering of private, public, and nonprofit sector stakeholders aimed at finding solutions to ongoing issues impacting the Latino community and the importance of equal opportunity for all.
RICE (Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs)
The Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) is an accelerator that supports the cultivation, expansion, and success of Black-owned businesses. Disney is honored to have supported the RICE Supply Chain Accelerator pilot that helped Black entrepreneurs and small business owners prepare for long-term success. Disney’s sponsorship of RICE’s program is part of our commitment to investing in communities by sharing knowledge and experience and creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Disability:IN
With a network of more than 450 corporations, Disability:IN is the leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide. Disney collaborates with Disability:IN as a thought leadership partner to promote disability inclusion and equity. This includes access to the Disability:IN Disability Equality Index (DEI), Inclusion Works, Supplier Diversity, and NextGen Leaders Programs, and multiple industry-wide convenings advancing best practices.
Student Veterans of America
Disney supports Student Veterans of America, a higher education organization focused on addressing the needs of those who have served our country, through services and programming, such as their National Conference (NatCon), the largest gathering of student veterans anywhere in the world. The salute to the U.S. Armed Forces and veterans has been a long-standing Disney tradition. For over a decade, we have been proud to work with SVA as their mission aligns with Disney’s own veteran-support programs, including the Heroes Work Here program and Veterans Institute Summit that helps veterans as they look for meaningful work following their military service.

NAACP
Disney has a longstanding relationship with the NAACP, the oldest and largest civil rights organization in the United States. Disney is honored to have sponsored the NAACP Image Awards, a multicultural awards show dedicated to uplifting values that inspire equality, justice, and positive change, and highlighting artists committed to that purpose. Disney also collaborates with the NAACP as a founding member of the Choose Kindness Alliance, an initiative that encourages kids, families, and communities to choose kindness and put an end to bullying.
Muslim Public Affairs Council Hollywood Bureau
The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC®) Hollywood Bureau works to change how Islam and Muslims are portrayed in films and television shows, so that audiences see Muslims as vital contributors in America and around the world. Disney supports the MPAC® Annual Media Awards celebrating members of the entertainment industry, artists, and activists who promote inclusion by advancing authentic portrayals of Islam and Muslims. In addition, Disney works with the MPAC® Hollywood Bureau to create opportunities for Muslim storytellers and improve the authenticity and accuracy of representative depictions in television and film.
ADL
The leading anti-hate organization, ADL works to fight antisemitism and all forms of bias. With Disney’s support, ADL has expanded their Echoes & Reflections program, providing educators and students in all 50 states with the resources necessary to educate about the Holocaust genocide, address bias and discrimination, and fight the rise of antisemitism.
The Hollywood Commission
Disney has been a sponsor of The Hollywood Commission since its inception in 2017 and supports the organization’s efforts to end discrimination, harassment, bullying, and abuse in the entertainment industry. The Commission is the industry’s leading education, training, and resource organization, reaching thousands of workers through its industry-wide summits, discussion roundtables, training programs, and production toolkits, as well as its Entertainment Survey, the industry’s first and largest culture and climate survey.
