Mickey Mouse visited La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois to celebrate new installations designed to bring Disney stories and characters to life. Disney’s work with La Rabida is part of a $100 million global commitment to help reimagine the patient experience in children’s hospitals.
New offerings include magic windows and interactive murals, mobile movie theatre screenings, and more. Infusing the magic of Disney storytelling into these spaces will bring moments of joy and comfort to patients and families staying at La Rabida or visiting the outpatient center.
“For a child to be able to have this beautiful space, to have things to interact with, to grow, develop, feel safe, be a child it only can foster growth development and healing,” said Kelli Guglielmi, interim CEO of La Rabida Hospital.
These Chicago installations join more than 1,300 children’s hospitals and pediatric places of care impacted by Disney’s uplifting stories and characters. Learn more about the company’s commitment to delivering joy and comfort when it’s needed most at joy.disney.com.
