D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event brings Disney fans from around the world together to celebrate the stories, characters and experiences they love. This year, that celebration extended into meaningful, hands-on impact. Throughout the weekend, fans didn’t just watch the magic; they helped create it for kids, families and communities when it’s needed most.

Celebrating Disney Wishes at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event

Disney is the largest WishMaker® for Make-A-Wish®, granting a Disney wish every hour of every day, and D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event gave fans a front-row seat to that legacy in action.

On Friday, August 13, Make-A-Wish alum, 150,000th Disney wish recipient and aspiring performer Mikayla took the stage alongside 2026 Disney Legend Susan Egan at the Disney Rewind Concert. In an inspiring performance in front of thousands of Disney fans, Mikayla showcased the lasting power of a Disney wish. Wishes renew hope, uplift spirits and unite communities in life-changing experiences like this.

That same spirit carried over to the Disney x Formula 1® Fuel the Magic Booth, where guests could enter to win a custom Mickey Mouse-inspired racing helmet signed by Disney Legends supporting Make-A-Wish. The replica Fuel the Magic Helmet was designed by Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse, with creative direction from Bobby Kim, Global Creative Director at Disney Consumer Products, and produced by Bell Racing.

Magic Through Service: Disney VoluntEARS Pavillion

At the Disney VoluntEARS Pavilion, guests became honorary Disney VoluntEARS by participating in service projects benefiting three nonprofits with longtime relationships with Disney: Make-A-Wish, Blue Star Families and Starlight Children’s Foundation. Through hands-on activities, fans assembled items that will be delivered to Make-A-Wish kids with upcoming Disney wishes, military families and pediatric patients at children’s hospitals.

Supporting Wish Kids Through Make-A-Wish

As honorary Disney VoluntEARS, fans became part of Disney’s 45-year legacy with Make-A-Wish by assembling wish packs for Make-A-Wish kids with upcoming Disney wishes on Day 1 on D23: The Ultimate Fan Event.

Honoring Military Families with Blue Star Families

Disney is proud to support military service members, veterans, and their families. Through a volunteer opportunity benefiting Blue Star Families on Day 2 fans helped pack care items to help make military families feel at home in their new communities. Learn more about Blue Star Families here.

Delivering Happiness with Starlight Children’s Foundation

For 25 years, Disney and Starlight Children’s Foundation have worked together to bring comfort and joy to kids in children’s hospitals through toy deliveries, Disney-themed Starlight hospital gowns, special movie screenings and more. On the third and final Day of D23: The Ultimate Fan Event , fans supported Starlight Children’s Foundation by assembling care packages of toys, books and goodies to help brighten the hospital experience for pediatric patients and their families.
