World Princess Week: Make-A-Wish® Alum Maria’s Letter to Belle
Wish Granting
August 19, 2026
We’re celebrating World Princess Week with an all-new miniseries highlighting the transformative power of wishes that resonate long after they are granted and showing that once a princess, always a princess.
Meet Make-A-Wish® alum Maria, whose wish to meet Belle was granted 6 years ago. Now, years after her wish came true, Maria’s words are a powerful reminder of the lasting power of a wish and that true magic lies in kindness.

Dear Princess Belle,
Hello, my name is Maria, and I wanted to write this letter to tell you how important you have been to me throughout the years.
You have always been my favorite princess because you are intelligent, kind, brave, and never afraid to be yourself. I admire your love of books and the way you always look for the good in others. Through your story, I learned that being a true princess is not defined by a crown, but by the kindness and compassion a person carries in their heart.
My Make-A-Wish experience is a memory that has stayed with me throughout the years. It was a day I will never forget because it was the day I truly felt like a princess. Everything about it was magical, but my favorite memory was getting the opportunity to talk with you. What made that moment even more meaningful was that you spoke to me in Spanish so I could understand every word you said. That made me feel happy, included, and very special.
Even though many years have passed I still remember that day with a huge smile. Whenever I think about my wish, I am reminded that dreams really can come true and that there is always hope.
I have grown a lot since then, but I continue to carry that memory in my heart. Thank you for being part of one of the most important moments of my life and for inspiring me to be kind, strong, and never stop dreaming.
With love,
Princess Maria ♡
